▶Company

The Chum-Phae Red-Step crosses a boundary between the creativeness and the tradition to produce much mirth and real appreciation of Korean traditional dance. The discourses of Ontology and human relationship are expressed in most of works. The Company was awarded the BIDF Grand Prize and Korean Dance Festival Silver Prize in 2011. Moreover, it was designated as the Professional Artists Group and the Standing-Artist Group at Theater by Busan Metropolitan City Government.

 

▶Performance

The very oriental colors are reflected in this work. We rethink whether we miss the essence of human communication or not through reviewing various means of communication like language, script and symbol.

Ji-Wol(Pointing the Moon): ….Someone sees his finger while pointing the Moon, and suddenly he is unable to see neither the Moon nor his finger….
